The Factor 55 Ultra Hook sets a new standard in off-road recovery safety. Designed and manufactured in the USA, it is the industry’s first winch hook with an integrated closed system shackle mount built directly into the hook body.

Unlike traditional winch hooks, the Ultra Hook improves safety, strength, and proper recovery technique. Therefore, it has become a trusted choice among serious 4WD and recovery professionals.

Advanced Safety Design

The Factor 55 Ultra Hook introduces multiple safety innovations:

  • Industry-first integrated shackle pin mount

  • Supports Closed System Winching for safer recovery

  • Double locking safety clasp with removable clevis pin

  • Safety latch retraction pocket for a clear throat opening

  • Latch locking pin stored inside the hook body

  • Finger grip feature that promotes correct “Hook Up” orientation

Because of these features, the Ultra Hook reduces the risks commonly associated with open hook recoveries.

Built for Strength and Durability

Precision CNC machined from 7000 series military-grade aluminum, the Ultra Hook delivers exceptional strength without excessive weight.

Key specifications include:

  • Max Rated Load: 16,000 lbs

  • Ultimate Strength (Hook Throat): 31,000 lbs

  • Ultimate Strength (Shackle Mount): 48,000 lbs

  • 5/8” diameter 6AL-4V Grade V titanium double shear pin

  • Weight: 32 oz

  • Compatible with rope and cable diameters up to 3/8”

  • Accepts ¾” shackle pins (.875” diameter)

Additionally, it features Military Specification Hard Anodizing (Mil-A-8625F Type III) for long-term corrosion resistance.

Fairlead Protection & Smart Storage

The Factor 55 Ultra Hook includes integrated EPDM rubber pads to protect both hawse and roller fairleads. As a result, it prevents metal-to-metal contact and reduces wear.

It also folds flat and stows securely against the fairlead, eliminating rattle during travel.

Two Methods of Use

You can use the Ultra Hook in two ways:

  1. Conventional hook opening

  2. Shackle mount for closed system winching

Because it accepts both steel cable and synthetic rope eyes without rope splicing, installation remains simple and clean.

Why Choose the Factor 55 Ultra Hook?

When recovery safety matters, upgrading to the Factor 55 Ultra Hook provides a stronger, smarter, and safer alternative to standard winch hooks. Its closed system design, premium materials, and engineered safety features make it one of the most advanced winch hooks available today.
